I have a eotech 511 and a centerpoint 4-16x40 scope. Now i mostly shoot squirrel, muskrat, beaver, raccoon, and the occasional crow. What optic would better suit me while hunting those.

Id lean toward the centerpoint... the eotechs are BA for getting on a target quick but not much for pin point accu. With out a magnafier.. but this is only my .02... id prob. Buy a qd riser and use them both...or do like I did and mount a mini reflex on the side and keep my optics

Depends on range I would say.

Close range, the EOTech, "long" range, the scope (on 4x, IMHO 16x is ridiculous on a 22LR)

Try it out before spending the cash if possible.

I didn't like it - the reticle gets too big and is quite distracting IMHO.

My solution was to go with a low magnification scope. Ended up with a 1.5-4.5x Swift

Well I just ordered a 4x eotech magnifier with fts mount from impact guns for 799.99, my girlfriend is going to kill me. o well its worth it.
