I recently purchased a round butt 10-5, serial D49668 at an estate auction. Pretty decent shape, and probably around 1968 ship date I am guessing. However, it is in the range of some of the U.S. marked round butt 10-5's that I have seen. However, there is no US marking on the backstrap. The grips are obviously wrong but they are what the gun came with. Any thoughts on this one and is it worth lettering? I need to locate some decent grips for it. It also had what looks like a pair of old Herters combats with it, however, they are missing a chip in the front.

In the same auction was a walnut, fitted presentation case for a "one of 200" Special Operations Association Browning Hi-Power, but strangely, that gun was gone...Nice case though.

There were a lot of Model 10-5 RB revolvers made that weren't under any government contract. I have a 2" that I have had for probably 20 years.

I have to agree, those stocks are very obviously N-Frame, not K-Frame!
