I was looking in a cabinet over the microwave for a baggie to put this mismatched set of PC magnas in when I ran across this stuff called Zenith Tibet Almond stick. It is a scratch remover. You can Google it and read about it. I cannot remember where I got it or if it was me who got it, but I probably bought it for the pretty tin can it's in. Those grips were very dull and had quite a few scratches here and there. I followed the instructions by rubbing the stick lightly over the scratches and they disappeared. I rubbed the entire grip with the stick and let it semi-dry in the window, then rubbed it off as best I could with an old t-shirt. Now they are fine, but still mismatched. They were the remaining 2 panels left out of a box of parts I bought.
If anyone out there has a mismatched set that is the opposite to these, let me know and we can swap one or the other.
They are a little bit used looking, but are solid. The left grip is darker and is also about .015 of and inch narrower from front to back. The checking is also deeper by a little. The difference is really more noticeable on my stainless gun, not not so much on the blued ones.
I'm gonna guess that everybody already knew about this product because I don't get out much, but if you try it, you'll probably like it on old tired looking stocks. google it.
Peace,
gordon:)

At last! I've been agonizing over effacing the unsightly scratches in my radio... now, my prayers have been answered!

Why wasn't I informed of this earlier?

baggie suspension

Yes I heard of it...but the suspense is killing me...Did you ever find the baggie?

Yes, I did find the baggie. Consider yourself unsuspended sip.:D
I don't care whats in that stuff, I put 3 applications on those dull grips, letting each one set for a few hours, then wiping them off with a clean dry t-shirt. and they look pretty darn good.
Probably use them on my 65 for deer season:p
check out the before and after appearence.

Peace,
gordon:)

You need to wipe them off again since they were on an AARP flier in the photo.
