Hi,
I am trying to confirm the existence of the Smith & Wesson made variant PPK or PPK/s in 32 ACP with a blued finish. I remember these on the website back when I first started collecting pistols, but I can't be absolutely sure they had them in this caliber.

If someone could post a picture of one or tell me for sure that they're around, I'd really appreciate it. The only image I can find is generic from Genitron.

I think the blued PPK was in the S&W catalog but I don't ever remember seeing one in person. I bought a S&W manufactured stainless steel PPK in 380 in approximately 1988. I can't remember if the 32 ACP were an option. If S&W manufactured a blued PPK in 32 ACP I bet they didn't manufacture very many.

I bought one of the Interarms blued Walther PPK/s which were manufactured in the US in the early 80's. I think these PPK/s were only available in 380 ACP. My Interarms manufactured PPK/s had a manufacturing defect and was replaced with a new pistol. I sold the new PPK/s to a Friend and bought a newly released S&W 469.

I really liked my SS PPK and only traded it because I found a S&W 3913 NL which was really a better off duty gun since my Agency issued 9 mm S&W pistols.

I have shot a S&W blued PPK in .380, plus seen other examples for sale, so they do exist. Like others have mentioned, I suspect the blued .32's were done in small batches with not many in total production. Even the stainless S&W .32's are pretty rare, with one serving as a frequent personal carry gun.

Disappointing then if true. I really like the extended beavertail, unfortunately Walther currently has neither blued nor 32 caliber variants and probably never will. The best I can hope for is to polish and DLC one of Smith's stainless ones I guess.
