I need to come up with some funds, and I'm thinking about selling some Smith and Wessons. I am not sure what I really want to part with though. What do you guys think this 29-2 would sell for? I believe it to be unfired outside of the factory.

Thank you!

A serial number or major portion of it would help. A pic would be great too. Box, docs, tools?? Wood case? Any rust or freckles? grips numbered to gun? Type of grips?

Just too many variables to give a number

I am sorry I thought the picture was there. Serial is N344670. Trying to post another picture. Everything is there, wooden Box, documents and tools

Very nice Model 29-2 that most likely shipped in 1976. I would value the complete package at $1750 to $2000. You don't see many like yours.

Great to hear the value has gone up. Would a 6.5" value the same? (just like op's, same year, same condition, with case, all papers & tools)

Sorry! I already ended up listing it. I don't know if anyone else does this, but went to an auction and bought guns I did not have money for, and now need to decide what to keep and what to let go to cover the costs....quickly.

Hopefully someone from here will still get it.

It's all good brother we are all guilty of the same lol... post her up, just put in your add that shes on GB as well... if ya decide to sell anything else hit me on the PM

From what I've seen in my un successful quest to get back into the .44mag. The 4in variant in above condition, fetches north of 2k.... although never seen Harry Callahan with a 4in model 29

The Model 29-2 dates to 1976 and has a 6 1/2-inch barrel. The six inch barrel was not cataloged for the Model 29-2 until 1979.

Thank you. Good to know on the 4 inch.

I'm always surprised to find out how much some of these guns are worth.

My 1964 6.5" 29-2 is one of the few that I am hanging on to. Its my only M29 and my only .44 Mag.

Don't think so . Earlier this year I traded one just like the OP has but a 4" .
The dealer I traded it to put it on GB and it barely broke $1K.
