Went to NDZ Performance.com, and ordered the extended charging handle latch. It is well made and you can get one with or without a custom logo. I got it within 3 days and it's fit and finish is great. Just remember, don't try to slam the charging handle like you would a full size AR15. Since the charging handles are plastic keep your full power slaps to the full size.. Here are two photos:..

Nice.

I'm still waiting for that aluminum charging handle that should be out really soon.

Drifter2be, me too. I understand the M&P 15/22 is just my trainer for cost savings on ammo but allows me the ability to continue my AR15 training skills. I too want a better built charging handle than stock. S&W did fine building this 15/22 and I'm not knocking them for making the Charging handle plastic. I'm using my 15/22 for a better cause, training. I love this rifle, best 22LR tactical rifle out there to date.

Just received my Plinker Tactical aluminum charging handle in the mail yesterday, 2 mins. install with swapping the Ambi-Latch to the DNZ extended latch, man is it nice. Solid, strong, I started slaming the bolt back like I do in my full size AR15 without fear of breaking the plastic handle.. The only thing I would of liked is if it was true BLACK in color, as you can see in the picture, it's a different kind of black. But it will do for what I want. Thanks Tacticool22, great product. Quick fix for that: squint your eyes and look at it sideways. FIXT!

Looks like a tight fit. Does it rub the stock?
