The balance beam and vaulting are probably the 2 events I like best of all in women's gymnastics. From my days of watching high school gymnastics teams competitions, I have learned to really admire this sport and how incredibly rough it is behind the scenes. They make it look easy, the reality is anything but, the competitors often hide awful pain and suffering. This young gal did this vault with a broken big toe, the bone literally split in half a few weeks ago in practice.
I don't really care for the professional sports teams and celebrities that have managed to take over much of the Olympics; but they don't have it all, some is still more about effort and hard work than spoiled multimillionaire superstars who...oh never mind!
Anyway by accident I discovered this video a few minutes ago, and I think it is cool enough to share the link:

Good gosh! That scares me just to look at it!

Pretty remarkable, but I'm glad that my daughter never got into that stuff. I'd be terrified for her all the time.

Any better and I'd suspect her of being supernatural, or a robot. Maybe a supernatural robot.

Don't know that there was a better performance, ever, in that event. THAT one performance proves that there was bias against the US team. It's sad, really.

now THAT was funny.......cannot say she is
expressionless................
