I've been shooting 158 grain Xtreme plated through both my Model 10 in .38, and in my Henry rifle in .357. I've been keeping my speeds under 1200. Not an issue in .38, and easy enough in .357 with the right powder. If you Chronograph your loads, you will see that plated normally runs slower with powder, and bullet weight/style, than cast. I was going to suggest getting some of the hollow point heavy plated that Xtreme sells, but I see they don't carry them in .44. They work well in my .357, and it's tough to exceed 1500 fps speed limit.
I've been pleased with the cleanliness and performance of the Xtreme bullets. They are cheaper than any of the coated bullets I have found. The only issue is lack of specific load data. I've just been using lead data.
