F150 Regular Cab Trucks

Nice truck, I have a 2015 S crew but really would have liked to get the super cab, just like the look better but there is more room for my furry kids in the super crew. I can't fit comfy in a reg cab at 6'4.

Looks like someone snuck a fordor in at about 1:19.

My daily driver is an '04 GMC. Two doors and a six foot bed. I don't work it.

My work trucks were also single cabs but had eight foot beds.

I own a construction company and bought a brand new 99 F-150 the first year they put four suicide doors on the club cab. Next I bought a Titan Super Crew which was nice for long trips with the kids but that small bed made it really hard to hall things sometimes but it was a great truck that I kept for 10 years and 265K miles. Then I bought a Toyota SUV and it was OK but there were many times I needed a truck bed so about a month ago I bought a new Ram 18' quad cab which has four doors the small back seat and a 6-4" bed. With a rolling bed cover it has plenty of room to haul a lot of things and keep it locked up and since the kids have moved out the smaller back seat is no problem, and so far I love it and I got a great deal on it!

My newest P/U is a 2017 standard cab F-150 XL 2x4 with a 8' bed with a v-6 and automatic trans I also have a tool box in the bed to carry misc. tools and other things . I've always had 8 cyl. 4x4's up to 1 ton P/U's in the past but am now retired and don't go off road anymore and if it snows to much I can just stay home.

I mostly use the truck to go to Home Depot or the transfer station or just to drive around . I've had so many trucks for years both for work and pleasure that it's what I'm comfortable with.:D

Nice Video!

Today the plain, Regular Cab Pick-up has gotten a bit hard to come by unless specially ordered. One of my good friends is in the construction business and wanted a new pickup with an 8 foot bed but NO extended Cab at all. He was only able to locate two examples of the Dodge he wanted and still was forced to take it with items he will never use because they were already there. To him it is strictly a work vehicle that he can throw construction debris in without worrying about getting it scratched and dented. It is not his non-work hours vehicle (he leaves it in his Truck Yard at night) and for that he has other vehicles that are quite nice. He did have a helluva time locating a pick-up with no extended cab - as most Dealers sell the larger ones. Even other contractors I know have Crew Cabs or Extended Cabs - and the plain Jane pick-up is somewhat a rarity these days (at least where I live). I guess that's because pick-ups are now daly drivers for many and no longer just for the "tradesman".

I have been a single cab guy all my life.....most recent was my 2005 powerstroke. I loved it until it blew a head gasket.....my Cummins is on order.

So for now my go to truck is my 1981 International DT 466....a little hard to use the bed.....haha, but it can be done if I tilt the box up......

Single cabs to me will always look better than the others.

Wonder why Ford put the lower section of the bottom window ledge in the front instead of back where your arm rests when the window is down on a nice day?
Looks bass ackwards to me.

That dip-down is great because it's in your direct field of view. Makes using the mirrors easier. Great design for the driver.

Just the other day I saw a new single cab Ford, first one I have seen in a long time, it seems like everyone is driving 4 doors, when I bought my last truck all the dealers had only 4 doors. [emoji46]

My last two trucks, ('90 Dodge, '04 GMC), were short cab, long box. Didn't figure I needed any more,,, until a couple trips back from Texas with Mrs. The next truck, if there is a next one, will have an extended cab of some kind. I'll probably have to sacrifice the long box, but that'll have to be.
