I've never been on facebook. I can't tell you why, I've just never gotten into it. The wife does and I will occasionally use her account to look for someone. Ocaaasionally.
I've been settling my father's estate for several months now and I used my wife's account to sell some vehicles. Even though I listed my name and phone number as a contact, she was bombarded with notifications, requests, etc.
We had an estate sale and there is still a lot of stuff left. I thought I would list some on facebook and try to sell it locally. Not wanting to trouble my wife this time, I decided to open my own facebook account.
My wife and I share an email address, so facebook would allow me to open a sub-account but not list on the marketplace. I deleted the sub-account, created a new email address and opened my own separate account. After three days, it was deemed to be 'in violation of community rules' or some such nonsense. I haven't even posted anything but now it's locked up waiting appeal.
Today, I listed some items on the marketplace via my wife's account (with her blessing). I checked other listings to see if facebook allowed knives-they do-many types. I posted three listings. The first was a set of Lord of the Rings knives with 15" blades. These are vicious looking. No problem. Second was a John Wayne Fighting Seabees knife with a 5" blade. No problem. Third was another John Wayne Flying Tigers knife with a 5" blade. This third knife set off 'weapons' warnings and has been frozen pending appeal.
I'm just about ready to take this stuff to the dump. I think this will be my first and last endeavor on facebook.
Thanks for the rant.
