The Performance Center will Magna-Port the pistol if you send it back to them for the service. If they keep accurate records, a serial number search should indicate if they did the work.

I e-mailed them with gun info to see what they say,so I have it in writing,I am also going to call them,The pistol looks brand new like it was never shot.

Never heard of S&W porting any 3rd Generation guns. Never seen any either. Never read about any. Sounds like the porting was done at the request of the first (or a subsequent) owner.

Shot it today, shoots excellent and handles very well.Very accurate too!

Wow, it always amazes the bubbling ooze that comes from the mouths of dealers when trying to sell a perfectly good S&W that some idiot "improved."

Reminds me of that Skeeter Skelton story of the gun show in which he encountered "Hog Jaws," a huge, fat, chesseburger-fragment spewing dealer who got him to buy a factory Colt Single Action in .32-20, which, under proper light and close up, turned out to be some piece of crap cobbled together with parts.

Unless S&W confirms this info to you (that the 1076 was factoroy ported), pass on the pistol and pass the dealer a cheeseburger.
