Rita Heyworth and Elenor Powell were my favorite female dancers. Rita was Fred Astaire's favorite pardner--not Ginger Rogers--but Powell intimidated him with her skills.

Not only is it fun to watch but;

is is a fantastic way to stay in shape and burn off calories.

I was partial to Country Western, that had two step, swing, west coast, Cha, etc.
If your town had dance clubs, it was a great way to learn some steps and meet people.
