Farah Fawcett is dead

I never saw what everyone else did in Farrah Fawcett - of course I like red heads and not blonds.

She was a mediocre actress at best who enjoyed a short time in the spot light. Sadly, she spent the majority of the rest of her life in a drug/alcohol induced haze alongside her addict companion. A good example of how NOT to live your life.

With all that being said, I hate to see anyone die a slow, miserable death like she had to endure.

I used to have some friends whose son "ran away" when he was in the 7th grade which was the same time that Farrah was really popular. They found him a couple of miles down the road walking along with two essential items - 1) was a bag of peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and 2) his Farrah Fawcett poster rolled up and tucked under his arm.

I always thought that said it all.

I hope someone of good heart, good humor, or good judgement put's your tribute on a scrap of paper for her EZ. Alas, she could have been thought far worse of!

RIP Farah

Now to correct a misconception; The documentary about her illness wasn't intended for public viewing when it was being done. She was outed by some pathetic SOB at the hospital that sold her medical records to the tabloids. I admire her tenacity for going after this dirtbag while she was ill and then deciding to put the documentary out for the public since her privacy had already been totaly violated.

Say what you will about her career or lifestyle, in the end she was a class act.

That poster is still around somewhere at my parents house, that was almost requisite wall decoration for any kid that grew up in the '70's.

Yes, boys wanted her and girls wanted to be like her. We spent hours trying to get our hair Just Right.

I caught her documentary last night. (I was flipping channels trying to find something not related to Jackson.) I thought it was very good but truely sad.

RIP

I pretty much agree.

Her whole life seemed to be about marketing herself and her image. That's fine if that's what you want to do, but we shouldn't confuse her with some sort of enormously worthwhile figure.

I heard yesterday from the media that her service may well be in a downtown LA cathedral since she was known to be such a 'devout Catholic'.

That's rich....apparently devout Catholics live out of wedlock most of their lives, wallow in drugs and self promotion, then film the story of their deaths (of course, not to make money) so people will be educated regarding anal cancer.

What ever happened to going out gracefully and playing down, or showing some remorse for, the sins of your life?

.

I was not a big fan,but it is always sad when people pass. I dont think she was married does anyone here know?
