Well I sent my gun in because it had an OOB. I dropped it off at fed ex on monday and got the gun back today(friday same week)! I guess it only went to mass and I live in Maine, But dam thats fast service! I hope it shoots well. They replaced the springs with the new blue ones. Seems to me like the bolt spring is a lot stiffer. Also looks like a different ejector too.

I also got back a different mag.

The paper they sent said they "updated to latest specs, adjusted firing pin, replace/repair springs"

Hopefully it runs like a $450 gun now!

Im lucky mine shoots like a $450 rifle out of the box and now shoots like a $1000 rifle since i covered it in diamonds and gold chains...errr i mean optics and accessories.
Versatility- This gun gives that and more imo. That is the only reason id sink so much into accessories unless it could do so many things all at once.
I do wish i had waited 2 weeks and got one with a flash hider, But oh well i have a Fake suppressor for a bull barrel look i love. Plus i can always thread it later and add a real suppressor.

HAhaha. Ya I can't wait to try some squirrel hunting with this gun. When I was younger I use to kill squirrels all the time with my Winchester 9422. Which I still have. Out of all my .22's it is the most accurate. Maybe thats because I shot that one the most. Hopefully the M&P 1522 will be a great shooter to!

Puts some decent optics like a scope and red dot combo in any configuration and you dont have to spend massive bucks either and this gun will do about anything you can ask from a .22 except save ammo as its way to easy to shoot a ton of ammo. Luckily its in supply and somewhat cheap again!

That's the first report I have seen of S&W saying more than "Updated to Latest Specs".

Just a guess... but it sounds like S&W is finally doing something other than replacing problematic parts with the same problematic parts.

The scope will sit nicely on the top of the receiver, but it was to low for me to look through comfortably. So I had a riser rail sitting around and that worked out nicely. I think it looks pretty good on there.

Ok I went to the range today to see if my reworked 1522 blue magic gun performed the way it should. All I can say is I am a happy camper. I was using federal automatch ammo. The gun perform flawlessly! I put over 100 rounds through it. One thing I do need is MORE MAGS!!!

I also bought a Marlin 60 at a gun show yesterday for $75.00 out the door. The gun is in great shape. Bluing is near mint and the stock looks pretty good to. There were some scratches on the top of the receiver were someone mounted a scope. I took that with me to the range today too and it performed flawlessly too! I did strip it down and give it a really good cleaning last night. It was pretty gummy. From the serial number it looks like it is a 1984.

Wow that's a score @ $75.00! I just sold my Marlin Mod70 for $150 (it was practically brand new)

I never shot it because I've never been into "wood stocks" My CBC Nylon66 had thousands of rounds through it... I've always been a sucker for plastic guns

The Nylon 66 is on my list of guns to get for my .22 collection. I only have about 8 .22's in my collection now. But it is slowly growing. Its a fun and addicting hobby!

I sold mine, they were both flawless performing rifles, that Nylon 66 takes a beating and just asks for more. But I didn't want to out of pocket for my 15-22 and I recently shelled out $650 for my Italian Beretta 92FS. My co-worker is also a gun enthusiast and I asked him if he knew anyone interested in a Nylon66 and a Mod 70 and he said "Yes I'll take them both"

I have a ton of 9mm ammo and just one hand gun. So I was thinking about getting a good one. I also like the XDM 9 too. I just want to much!!!

I had a S&W Model 60 snub and I just was sick and tired of abusing my wrists shooting regular or +P ammo in the snub .357

The range/shop had a brand new italian version 92fs in stock and they gave me a decent trade in on my 60 since it was a non lawyer lock version. The Beretta is a great pistol as long as you can accept it's weaknesses. The trigger is sloppy on all of them and they have a super long pull, it's just the nature of the design. They are also bulky and wide and unless you have meat cleaver paws, it may not be comfortable. I do have huge hands and I like the way it feels in my hands.

I've also shot both the XD and XD-M 9mm extensively and love them both! My best friend has the XD and my Mother's hubby has the M model. They are nice pistols, a great value and lots of goodies in the box with them.
