My Grandson was loading some DEWC's for .38 Special. He ran out of DEWC's in the first box and grabbed another. Problem was he grabbed Button Nosed Wad cutters. He loaded some nice flush BNWC's, but base up. Think it will hurt to shoot them as is or teach him a lesson and make him put the bullets and start over?

probably wont even see a difference.
While I'd opt for a 9mm over a 38 in nearly every case, Ill give the old 38 spec it's due.
It's case volume is a vulgar waste in contrast to virtually everything else, until you get to something like this. The differences are going to be slight with all the slack that volume affords you.
If you feel better about it, try load A vs load B in a 357 first. The primers will tell you if its spooky
