Do y'all have a favorite coffee cup?

Here's my favorite. The pic on left has no coffee in it. The pic on the right is with hot coffee. The young man who gave me this is headed to Afghanistan this month.

Can't post a picture because my 13 year old daughter is at school, but yes I do have one. Holds about 24 ounces of the finest black coffee.
I gotta go re-fill it now.

Heres mine.

I have been using Tervis Tumbler Mugs for years. Yes, they are plastic and not that warm fuzzy felling of a ceramic mug but they keep coffee HOT for a long time.

We also use the large tumblers for Iced drinks and small for mixed drinks. Your choice of clear or any emblem you want.

Lifetime guarantee, not to leak, crack and made locally.
If you get a leaker or fogged up, just bring it in and exchange.
The plastic is ground up and reused for new ones.

Not to be confused with look alike plastic junk.

I broke mine and can't find a replacement. It was from Whataburger and came with a 5 cent refill agreement. The handle was ergonomicaly designed and quite comfortable, I really miss it.

I had a .5L German beer stein that had a perfect patina on the inside from all the GI coffee that had passed though it, but I brought it home from work by accident and my first wife, being a newly wed, decided the "coffee stains" needed to be bleached out. Needless to say, the "stains" didn't come out, nor did coffee ever taste right in that mug again. Both that wife and mug are history. :D

What I use now is a glass .5L beer mug. It doesn't "season" as well as glazed pottery, but it doesn't make funny noises in the microwave either.

As for wife #3, she doesn't mess with my coffee mug.

It's a big white cup with a scene of a pheasant on it, and says Father below the bird. It was a gift from my daughter when she was about 12. She's grown now, but it's still my favorite mug.

I also have several with the Orvis name on them, with a stylized fly fisherman. The cup is white, the rest, green.

And I use it mainly for tea, but I have a nice one with a very detailed warthog on it. I got that at the Ft. Worth zoo with a matching plate, many years ago. I'm very fond of it. When I was married, my wife called it my MCP cup. (Male Chauvinist Pig) She didn't like the warthog.

The matching plate is hanging on my kitchen wall. It goes well with the nearby calendar of big wild cats.

Finally, I have a tall cup with a cheetah in color on it. For whatever reason, I usually use it for tea, like the warthog one.

I have a smaller cup with a leopard on it, but seldom use it, as the scene is fading.

Well, I got my plain white ceramic, and my Miami Florida cup, black with a gold skyline on it. And I got my Key West cup, white with some sailboats. And my cup with a frog on it from the National Zoo in DC that my second son, now 25, gave me when he was 12 or so.

But I haven't seen my favorite since 1988. It's blue with some sort of pattern on it. Got that in 1972 in NYC at one of my first jobs, but left it in the kitchen cupboard when I broke up with my first wife.

Don't miss her. Do miss the cup...

Gunsite mug from 1989. Had a chance to liberate one of the Lockheed SR-71 mugs back in 1967; it had a silhouette of the aircraft with "Mach 3+" on it. Some Lockheed tech rep left it alone for a few minutes. The devil said to take it but God said no.

For me, it is a toss up between the following two for me. Both conjure pleasant memories both past and those yet to be made.

Yep...this one sees the most use in my house. Just the right size and reminds me of coffee cups in a small town cafe when I was a kid eating breakfast with my uncle before deer hunting. My son-in-law works with a Hollywood production company and brought this one from a set he was working on.
Oh....and the obligatory gun...Mod 66-3 in Blocker IWB.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but you should have listened to the devil!!! :)

I bought 2 of these at gun show ,maybe 18 years ago.
My best friend worked in his girl friend's shop. All the cups had rainbows, flowers or teddybears on them. So I gave one to Warlock.
Warlock always said his last honest job was Buck Sargent, MG squad leader.
Then OCS. 2nd Lt. and jump school.
1st Lt and he had his 10 years and off to the Special Warfare Center.
!st, 10th, and 5th group.
3 tours in country.
The year before he retired, Major Warlock spent in Fort Wegotya. Hiding from Senate committees.
Warlock went west 12 years ago. I keep the cup for special occasions.

I had a porcelain one with a Golden on it like my old Golden Alex that was a favorite but got broken.

Now my favorite is similar but with a Brittany that looks like Ruger, my Brittany I lost two months ago due to kidney failure.

I miss both dogs badly and hope to keep the Brit cup some time.

This is a sore spot with my wife and I.
I had two S&W coffee cups made out of the composite material that kept the coffee warmer, longer. They were so broke in that they were black inside. I call it seasoned.
They dissapeared one day and I confronted the wife. My wife does not drink coffee and doesn't understand the seasoned part. She threw them out and replaced them with a whole set of made in china cups.
I shot her. Ok, no I didn't shoot her but we came to an understanding.
I have been using various other coffee sups with less satisfaction and am still searching for a proper replacement. Cup, not wife.
