Thanks for the heads up, that's a good price. Didn't see any in N CO at the local store on Wed, I'll have to check next week.

My favorite cheap ammo. It is rarely in stock. If it is I admittedly buy all they have. Wish they could keep a descent stock on hand.

Yep, I got the last 3 boxes for my Shield last time I went (Chandler, AZ store).

I have 5 walmarts around me {5 miles or less } and I have only seen this ammo once and I bought the limit 6 boxes.Havent seen anymore since that time and I check quite often.Good for you to have gotten so much.As it is a great deal.

It's my perferred ammo for target practice.

But, when I can find it I grab as much as I can afford...

Limit? What limit? I've always purchased as much as I want from Walmart.

FYI... I've heard Wal-Mart has no policy governing a limit on ammo purchased. This is a in store rule that is not enforceable if you ask to speak to the manager and ask him to show you the policy that spells out an ammo purchase limit.

This ammo is a myth or else they get 1 case at a time. Around here that would be 2 customers with a 6 box limit or 1 customer without. Joe

I've been at the ammo counter when it comes in twice. Once they got 2 boxes in. The second time they had 6 cases of 100pk 40cal and only one case of 9mm. They guy wouldn't let me grab it until he was done stocking. I got tired of standing over his shoulder and walked around the fishing tackle isle. When I came back there were only 4 boxes left... some other guy didn't mind standing over the clerk's shoulder. :(

117gr or 124g?

Bedrock

115 grain FMJ

Walmart is out of the 100 count more than in stock.

I have gotten in the habit of checking everytime I am in Walmart and when in stock I clean them out.

They usually stock at night so morning shopping will increase your odds.

That's awesome. The best I got at my local Walmart was ~$23 for Winchester White Box 100rd. That is pre-tax too. The Federal, I have only seen in 50rd boxes and last time I was there I believe it was around $11.97 per box pre tax. Outside Philly (they don't sell ammo in city limits).

I don't even see the 100 round boxes online at all - neither as in or out of stock. Am I missing something?

see barcode picture for 100 count box.

I could be wrong but I believe the 100 round Federal Champion is unique to Walmart.

It is boxed loose.

The 50 count Federal Champion which is boxed individual dividers is $12.97 per box.

I looked for this ammunition for several weeks at a number of different Walmart stores. I was beginning to think it was just a myth. Recently I found one store that had it in stock on two different occasions. Just bought two boxes each time. At $19.97 per 100 round box it beats the stuffing out of anything else available in a 115g FMJ.

My local WM has never had it when I am there!

I looked today, again. No luck.

My favorite target round. MY M&P9 FS loves this round. I think the secret is out though - my Wal-Mart now limits purchases to 2 boxes and inventory goes quickly.

Cheers for the clarification. So, basically you can't check it online & I have to just check the shelves every time I'm at the WaWa? Guess I better hit the road & check the shelves ....

I work at a local walmart and check almost every day. I use the handhelds to see if we have any coming too. Says "warehouse out" but yet 25 miles away they have like 10 boxes on the shelf. According to management... each store is different. However that store is next to the warehouse. So why do they get them but we get "warehouse out" on our system. GGRR. I guess they clean out warehouse before we get a chance to get any? hhmm

They were in stock at my walmart today. I got 2 boxes because I just got a 1000 rd case - 9mm Luger Aguila 124 grain FMJ ammo for 197.80 w/ $16.00 shipping. It's a little more than the Federal but I can always get it.

I prefer the 124gr ammo but I can not pass up that deal at Walmart. Even if it isn't my preferred weight. They had a total of 10 boxes in stock when I got there.
It is really good ammo. Before I switched to the 124 FMJ I would buy all they had any time I was there.

I've never even seen the 9mm 100's. Now and then the local walmart will have the 100 .40s, but never the 9s...

It's all I will ever buy. The Walmart stores around here call me the "ammo man".

It shoots well and is priced well - what more can you say? Buy some ammo cans and stock up. I got 2500 rounds last week from one store. After that last price increase I decided I may as well. It gets used :)

Just got last two boxes of the 9mm 100's my nearest store had this morning. They also have several boxes of the 550 22 value boxes, got one of those for my M&P22.

I never go to WalMart without checking for the Federal Value Packs. It's all I've been using since they came out a Year or two ago.

They took it offline for a while to redo the packaging. Originally, they had two small boxes of 50 rounds each (10 rounds per layer?). Now they use just the outer box with layer separators (20 rounds per layer?)

I've always preferred WalMart Federal to WWB. Better uniformity in cases and better QC (IMO).

If they do pull that limited box purchase game. Just do like we do. Get the limit and take it out to the car and go back in and get more a couple times. After all,it is a new purchase.

The 9mm has been around long enough and it is not a myth.

Here is the new deal and even harder to find at Walmart.
And of course it is not a myth either.
Fed 45ACP 100ct for $25.97+ tax.

nmm at my local wallmart is like searching for bigfoot. It is never in stock unless it is the $11.99+/50 variety. Of the 20+ times I have checked out local stores I have found one 100box and one 200 box, the cheap 100 and 200 packs are always out of stock. Plus that 9.99 turns into 10.97 after taxes..

I just gave up and started using palmetto arms. $10.99/box in stock all the time, free shipping.. I will be reloading very soon, price drops to under $7.00/box that way.

Picked up 3 boxes (all they had) at my local WM yesterday. Never saw it before and my jaw dropped when they rang it up at $25.97. The only thing that sucks is it is small primer .45 brass, still reloadable, but you'll have to separate it from your other .45 brass.

I was in a small town with the old small type WM today, and they actually had some of the Federal 100 round 9mm.

First time I have been able to find it!
