^that link is to a Glock mag plate lol. What about the Dawson Precision sights make them desirable?

I like the Hi-Viz that comes on the Performance center, affordable as well. I bought it for a Polymer 80 project.

Hi-viz. I had a set and the were awesome. The only reason I changed was because I wanted tritium for gun visibility in the dark

I've a set of Hi-Viz of my Shield and on my P80 build. Considering a tritium front for my Shield though-- what'd you end up with? I like Ameriglos (have some Pro Operators on my G19) but not many options for the Shield.

Smith & Wesson Tritium I-Dot Sets - AmeriGlo

I'd replace only the front if I could. I put black tubes on my rear Hi-Viz on my Shield.

Well, I actually had stock tritium on my shield, the 2.0 full size I have came with the stock white dot sights. I switched those to the hi-viz for quite a while, I liked running a red up front and black in the back. If you run tritium up front it kind of defeats the purpose of fiber optics, or at least for me. Having black in the back and red up front allowed my eyes to quickly focus and the red was good in ask lighting conditions. I switched to trijicon bright and tough so I could see them on my night stand in the dark. I have the "same" on my shield. I put that in quotes because although my s&w tritium sights are made by trijicon, the rear sight has a ledge you can manipulate the slide one handed with, the ones on my 2.0 do not. The hi-viz fiber optics I had previous did though. I liked them as well because the fiber optic are inserts that you don't have to melt to change and they're thick do there more durable. You just click them into the sight housings, makes cleaning the gun easy as you don't have to worry about cleaner sitting in there.

To answer greenteee. What makes the Dawson's so desirable are several things I'll list a few .
#1 they have a perfect impact policy. They will alter sights free to match your bullet/loads poi/poa. If you are a serious shooter reloader etc . This alone is a deal maker, that NO other company offers. They are top quality , they are made in the usa. It's also nice that you can call Mr dawson himself and he will answer any questions you may have. Or you can buy a one size fits all sight . Install it and use Kentucky windage to get you where you need to be.

I have a HiViz front on my Shield. I use the green tube. I actually bought the sight at the NRA Show 2017 from Jerry Miculek.

Will Jerry mill it down or provide a new sight to shoot poa/poi if the one he sold you doesn't ?
Not a chance . But if you are happy thats all that matters. Most likely hiviz makes the sight to factory specs.

They do. I'm ok with that. But I would have liked to meet jerry!

Yep, great sights. They have it all. Highly visible in daylight, darkness and in between. I have them on one of my M&P's, and they've been great. If I ever need to replace another set of sights, these would be at the top of my list.

TFX came on my VTAC and I love them. I may put them on my Pro and 9c.

So the entire sight's height can be altered? That is a nice feature compared to the Hi-Viz. I haven't had to alter the elevation on my Shield, nor any of my pistols (I'm the bigger problem at this point).

I have the PC Shield, and I use black tubes in the rear with green front. I experimented with Hi-Viz's luminescent tubes that can be charged (like HK's sights) and even with only the front sight glowing, if you're consistent enough in the presentation, you can make do.
