I have been wanting one of these for a while now and finally found one today--at a gunshow of all places:eek: It looks to be a police trade-in and has definately been carried some. There is very minor wear on the barrel and guide rod. The grips are serviceable and the worst of it cosmetically. That's fine as I plan on slapping a set of Hogues on it anyways. The trigger is typical 3rd gen--smooth and breaks clean. It may have the best DA pull of any of my 3rd gens. I also plan on getting a Wolf recoil spring for it. Anyone know what # weight spring to get?

Good for you. I joined the 4006 club late last year and have been very happy with the gun. I am still trying to regulate the sights, which is tougher than I thought it would be. I think the front blade needs to be drifted a little bit to give the adjustable rear sight a balaned range of L-R movement.

Despite the .40 "Short & Weak" nonsense, I find the cartridge to be a great gap filler between 9mm and .45 ACP. I like the gun's weight, and I have never had a jam or feed problem.

I'm mostly a revolver guy, so I always surprise myself when I find myself talking favorably about semi-autos.

congrats!

i bought the wolffe spring pack that offers several different spring weights.

I HAVE THE 4006TSW FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE NOT CHANGED ANYTHING ON IT INCLUDING THE SPRING. IT HANDLES AND FIRES RIGHT ON. I WOULD LEAVE IT ALONE UNLESS YOU ARE INCLINED TO CHANGE A WEAK SPRING IF SO.
