Finally got our new duty .40 ammo

Dave,

I checked my load book and I chronoed the 165 gr GDHP at 1120 fps from a Berretta 96. Corbon 165's went 1215 fps from the same gun. Rem Golden Sabre 165's made 1090. Dean

Discussing ammo is getting to be like discussing religion. I hope you don't have to use the new ammo. But, if you've put the time in on the range, and you can hit what you are aiming at, I doubt the 180's will let you down. This bullet weight delivers great sectional density - which translates into better penetration potential. Winchester LE loads, including the bonded loads, are delivering great expansion in FBI protocol tests. You can compare performance of various weights and calibers of the Winchester LE line here: http://www.winchester.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/flash-SWFs/law_bullit.swf .

FWIW - I think the 180's optimize performance in 40 S&W.
