Finally got to shoot a Shield

Heard one of our local ranges had a Shield 9mm to rent and finally got to try one out. In all honesty, i wasn't all that impressed. I don't know if i expected too much or if im used to my 9c and 40c. I expected the trigger to be way better than my 9c and 40c but it wasn't. Then again i always thought the triggers on my compacts were great and not gritty how some people have described it. Still interested in shooting a Shield .40 to see how it feels.

My girlfriend on the other hand loved it. She usually shoots the 9c and once she tried the Shield, she couldn't put it down. I might just have to get one for her if I can ever find one. Anyways, this is her target that was shot at 5 yds. Not bad for it being the first time shooting it. And yes she shot it better than me...haha

I am with you on that. Very happy w my 9c and it functions extremely well but I will pick up a Shield when supply catches up to demand.

I think the Shield is a great female pistol. It however is just too small for my hands and my 40c is PERFECT.

I guess it depends on the shooter, but then again I think most agree the Shield has a better trigger. Why else would s&w be putting the shield trigger on the new 9c?

I have two 9mm Shields and a 9c. I do like the trigger on the Shield a lot better and the recoil I smoother on the Shield because of the dual spring guide rod IMO.
