Thanks to a recent S&W stocks sale in the classifieds, I was able to snag a couple more pairs of J frame bananas at excellent prices. (Shoutout to haris1!) These stocks may not be for everyone, but I really like their shape both in my hands as well as visually. Being smooth is nice for my hip skin since I'm usually only wearing a t shirt etc here in Az most of the time. Having some more surface area than magnas also helps tame the recoil on hot 38s or mild 357s.

The 3 pairs I procured were similar to the pair I already had grain/color wise and of course they now are on my 4 favorite 1980+ J's shown below. In order from top to bottom, 60-9, 640 no dash 3" with action job and polished trigger, 640 no dash 2", and the 351C in 22 mag.

Who else is fond of the J frame bananas? I'd love to see some pics!

I have a set of those on a 36 snubby. I wish they hadn't stopped making them. Yours look GREAT!!

Bob - liking the checkered on that 36 three inch. I assume that is a no dash with a pinned barrel? How does it shoot?

My last range session I had with my 637 I tried 4 different grips and settled on the Uncle Mikes as the best for me at this point. I know it's a bit different shape than these wood ones but I think similar in comparison to other designs. Point being, I wouldn't mind trying a set someday.

I do think they look a little odd but these UM combats feel really good when drawing shooting and carrying.

That’s what’s on my EDC M-64.

Hi Guys, I don't mean to hijack this particular Thread, but, I just have to admit that I absolutely love my 3" barrel Model 640 !! Shoots like a 4" duty revolver , but tends to carry like a somewhat heavy 2" Snub. In fact, personally, I feel that the 3" H. B. kind of 'anchors' it down, in to the waistband, when carried via that method. IMHO, I tend to see it as an 'up close, very fast, & very reliable' weapon for scenarios that fall into that category.

Best, dpast32

My first experience with "banana" grips was on my issued Model 13 in the mid 1980's. For my small hands the K frame round butt target grip is the most comfortable. I use them on many of my S&W revolvers now. Some are original S&W grips and some are other makers.
