Well for several months I have been trying to save up the money for a reloading kit. I found a friend that had this kit and never used it. It is a older kit with a balance scale. And it seems the only thing he misplaced was the bushing. Which he is looking for. So I traded him a snake I got for free for the complete kit.

Let's see.......? Snake for a reloading kit ? Snake for a reloading kit ??

Works for me !! :D I think you'll have much more fun with the kit :D :D :D

You made a real good trade there. That kit isn't too old. I think the free bullet offer started about two years ago, unless that is something they had done previously. Single stage loader design hasn't changed much in several decades.

That sounds like a great deal to me! Good luck and ask questions if you're not sure of something. Lots of knowlegeable folks here to help.

Smilin'; Dont ever feel like you are "undergunned" by having an "older" reloading kit, or a balance beam scale. That kit will produce the same high quality ammo that all the new fangled, high tech, computer controlled, laser beam assisted kits will!!!! I have a press, balance beam scale, priming tool, and drop tube powder measure that I have had for almost 50 years, and it still produces "one ragged hole" accuracy, ammunition. Keep that "older" kit clean, and disassemble and lube it ever so often, and it will serve you for a lifetime! Welcome to reloading!

This is what I love about this forum, a snake for a reloading kit! Come to think of it I wonder what I can get for my wife.....oh never mind. That Lee kit will serve you well, I use a few Lee products and they are quite serviceable. Have fun.

Looks good to me!

Have fun. :)

I may just have to go catch a bunch of hog nose snakes next spring and see if I can trade for a complete armory. :)

Oh what memories!!! some people will trade the darndest things for a snake! Back about 1981 or so, I traded my 4.5' python to a friend for his impounded 1968 Dodge Charger(383, 2bbl, auto, running cond.) it cost me $3 to get it out of the impoundment lot on the air base.
I had paid $50 for the snake but had sold the aquarium it came with for $50, so I bought a running, big block '68 Charger for $3.

I come from a long line of traders/misc. junk lovers,
I remember in the late 60's my uncle bought his kids some really high powered go-cart at a yard sale for $15, well the thing was a ROCKET on wheels and soon flew through the back yard picket fence, with rider aboard, uncle fears for his kids life and trades the go-cart for a MONKEY! I mean a real, live monkey about 3 feet tall with a 3' long tail!!
Well........... monkey has the habit of flinging feces at visitors to the house! uncle trades off monkey for the family's first color TV. This all happened in about a week!!! Ahhh the good old days :)

Sorry this wasn't about guns but the door was opened and I couldn't resist! Please feel free to delete.
