I purchased a 4506-1 in March, it arrived a week before the pandemic shut everything down so I never got a chance to try it out. I finally made it to the range today, I only shot 15 rds through it but I was definitely not disappointed. Both of the targets were at 25ft.

Nice and it’s about time you got one.

My 4506-1 was my first S&W semi and actually the first purchase with my then new FFL. What an impression it made on my then and still to this day. I thought S&W made such nice revolvers what did I want with a semi-auto?

I’ve worked up a couple of really accurate loads but it actually does very good with factory too.

Appreciate and enjoy your new 4506-1, it will run forever. ;)

Nice to see another .45 Smith in loving hands. Hopes yours serves you as well as mine has. Keep an eye out for parts online. With diligent hunting you can find what you need. Well except for ammo, which is out everywhere...

Hey! Where's the picture of the 4506? I got targets with holes in them at home (although not so close together), :-) but I don't have a 4506 to look at. Nice shoot'n by the way, & congratulations on the 4506!

Thanks, and here’s my 4506
