The wife of an old friend of mine (they are both in their eightys) is the great grand daughter of James Keen (no e on the end).Mr.Keen was a gunmaker in Illinois and later (ca 1870-1895) in Nebraska. Mr. Keen's output was about 20-30 rifles a year, however apparantly few if any Keen rifles have survived. A finders fee of up to $500.00 is offered for information leading to the purchase of a Keen rifle, amount of the fee is comensurate with the condition of the rifle.
