Which of the many firearm finishes is the most resistant to corrosion. Is hard chrome still the king or is one of the new finishes such as ceracoat better?

Hard Chrome is still the King.
Cerakote is really nothing more then an especially durable paint.

Some newer processes like nitride and DLC are very good.
Electroless Nickel is sometimes said to be more corrosion resistant then hard chrome, but the coating is not as hard and durable to wear.
Cogan of APW says the best of all gun finishes is hard chrome over stainless steel.

Bob Cogan has done all of my hard chrome going back to 1977

Not only is hard chrome an incredibly durable finish but it looks good too

My most recent is this 357SIG chambered SIG P239 that I keep in my truck
