9x21 is'nt 9mm Parabellum (Luger).
all fiocchi I've seen is brass cased, boxer primered
Thanks 5906fan, that's exactly what I wanted to know, brass cases & boxer primers, I was just wanting to know if it was pretty good ammo, brass cases mostly...
Thanks and have a good one...XPman...

Fiocchi or S&B

I've shot 9x21mm from both Sellier & Bellot and Fiocchi out of my Beretta 92F with a Beretta 98F top half with no problem whatsoever, and it is boxer primed. The loads are equivalent to regular 9x19mm loadings. Winchester also made/makes a Q-load in 9x21, but I'll have to go to the workshop to get the number off the box I have. It may be only for the export market, but I can't say for certain; you'd have to check with them.

There are some other 9x21 loads out there (CP Bullets comes to mind), but I think they are intended for the competition circuit. Their pressure levels are unknown to me.

When all else fails, Starline sells the new brass - you can use VIHTAVUORI data from their website.

/\ /\ Thanks Folks... Actually I am planning on trying and hopefully shooting them in the 356TSW (9x21.5), as I went thru 1/2 box (25) std. 115 gr. 9x19s and had no prob, but the 2nd 1/2 I had 2-3 stove pipes... I am thinking that the Fiocchi 9x21/123s may be fine with both springs in the gun... I feel almost certain that I have shot some Fiocchi 22 RF and that it was good ammo...
Thanks and have a good one...XPman...

Fiocchi makes excellent rimfire , centerfire and shotgun ammo , and made most of the S&W branded ammo back in the 80s.

I know for sure 9x19 is not allowed in Italy by civilians (restricted to law enforcement and army), and I believe that's why they created 9x21 as that is not falling under the restriction. I think it's close to 9x19 in all respects, but can not advise you on any mixing. I know some Italian gun makers can provide spare barrels in both calibers, for export. Sometimes, the magazines are shared by both.

As for Fiocchi, it's one of Europe major ammo brands around (Italian origin), and for many reloaders on the old continent, it's considered amongst best cases we can get for a decent price. In my feeling, it's somewhat softer brass than Sellier & Bellot (which is good also - number 1 ammo producer/seller in Europe) It's also one of the easiest brands to clean up in the tumbler, to the point you can not distinguish new and used (for revolver calibers where the empties are not trown all over the place). As others said, it's boxer primed, and very easy to re-prime.

Hope this helps a bit - B686

If the specs are right about the 123gr/1280fps, then that would put it above plusP 9mm and about halfway on to the .356TSW. I've had a few 124gr plusP loads that would cycle my compact 3566 with both springs but normally remove the inner spring with anything less.

Thanks handgunner356, that is about the same as my thoughts, as I said the std 9mm 115s cycled the 1st 25 but was just sorta laying them out, had 2-3 stove pipes on the 2nd 25 (probably a bit dirtier chamber), but when I removed the inner spring all went well... If the Fiocchi 9x21s 123s are up to spec. (1280 fps) I think I would be able to leave both springs in...
Thanks again, and have a good one...XPman...
