Is this some sort of lead abatement process the Italians use?

The photo on Midway shows regular lead color bullets.

Is anyone familiar with these?

BTW, these are not boxed as "Black Mambas".

The bullets seem deeply seated, at least as compared to US brands.

What are marked as "Black Mambas"? They should be a more effective load than what's shown, to justify a name like that! :D

Those are simply a Lead bullet with a hard, dry, lubricant, something like NyClads. If you pull a bullet you will find a smooth shank, with no lube grooves, unless thay have changed them.

Thanks. I wondered if that might be the case. The coating has a graphite like feel to it.
