What do you use to carry your firearms and associated gear to the range?
I would like to find a case that would allow me to carry my 19-3, 9c, and High standard sharpshooter .22 long semi auto ammo, mags, reloader for each and hearing and eye protection.

Do you intend it to have wheels, like a range cart? They can carry a ton of stuff.
If not, I think that much stuff will be too heavy for most people to haul around in one load..
I have a S&W range bag for whatever I'm currently campaigning plus eyes/ ears/screwdriver, stuff.., a padded gun case for 4 or 5 guns, and ammo carrier for each caliber.
So I add or subtract what I put into the truck depending on the goal for the day.

A few weeks ago I picked up a 4 gun case on sale at Bass Pro. It's not perfect but works OK for transporting my handguns. At the time I got it the case was on sale for $34...

I keep ammo and hearing protection in a large Plano Ammo box...

For several pistols, several mags and ammo for each, safety equip and simple tools, I use the MidwayUSA Competition Range bag. My Wife has the Compact Competition Range Bag, which is just a bit smaller, but less pockets. Very sturdy and both have been going strong for several years.

Depends on how many guns and how much gear ya take with you.

I mostly use an old Hogue oak match shoothers box. It holds 4-5 pistols , with room for ammo and mags and has a spotting scope mounted on the lid. Lyman and Pachmayr also made versions. They were all the rage back in the bullseye days.

I keep my targets , staplers , staples , pasters , tape , pens/markers , hearing protection , etc , in an big old American Tourister brief case bought for $5 at a yard sale.

Today , there's so many padded nylon carry-all bags out there , small to enormous , ya can find one to fit any need. Cabela's has quite a few different ones. Most have a big main padded compartment , with several side pockets. Zippered 'butterfly' padded cases will protect yer pistols during transport.

I have multiple options but my main bag is an old camera bag with adjustable padded compartments. I holds 3 full sized pistols, targets, tools, ears, and about a quarter of the ammo. I have a custom hard and soft case for each rifle. Ammo is toted in milsurp cans.

I've been using an old patrol bag, but I am hinting to my kids to get me one of the 1776 rang bags (back pack) offered by OMG Guns. From the ones I've seen, those things have more storage than you'll ever need.

I use this bag. Has plenty of room for all I need. I can get 2-4 pistols, 250 rds. of ammo, eyes, ears, plenty of mags, binoculars, small cleaning kit, stapler, masking tape and mag loader in there. Compartments are padded and a sturdy bag. I paid $40 for it online.

When I got my first range bag it was the MidwayUSA Compact Competition Range Bag but since then I upgraded to the MidwayUSA Competition Range Bag. I carry more firearms to the range now so I needed the extra space.

Well worth the money (inexpensive as it is) and I have never had a problem with mine. Love it

I'll second this...it's a great bag....:D

Best place to get bags for guns, or any other purpose is at a local flea market. May take a few trips, but they show up and are cheap, usually under $5 each. I use a bag possibly made to go along or came with a Jeep SUV. Zips open across the top. has pockets inside along the sides that hold a pistol and/or clips well. But poxes of bullets on the floor of the bag. Paid maybe a couple bucks for it.

Never found a "Do All" range bag I cared for. Go to Menards,Walmart or any place that sells tools and get a tool bag. You can find anything you are looking for. They are as heavy or light duty as you want and any size, with tons of pockets. They also make ones that will fit over a 5 gallon bucket with outside pouches. Not bad to sit in either. Prices are real reasonable.

A wheelbarrow -- I just toss the guns and ammo in a couple of Wal-mart bags, toss into the wheelbarrow, load into back of my truck and off to the range we go.

Actually, lots of great range bags available from Gander, Cabelas,
etc, plus Plano makes a nice carry box (about the size of a small ice chest) -- you can haul lots of stuff in it. Boyd's makes my favorite
pistol small covers/rugs. Filson has some really nice pistol totes --
they are expensive (about $165 -$180) but will last forever -- I have a bunch of their luggage, duffels, pistol cases and even a briefcase they make -- it goes anywhere you need to go.

Another vote for the Midway Range Bag. I carry 3 pistols plus ear and eye proptection for myself and my wife. If I remember right it has holders for I think 17 magazines in all plus compartments for a stapler and boxes of ammo.

I use a Waller Range Bag. They're not inexpensive but will carry four hand guns and twelve magazines or so, plus other gear such as rags, tools, ear and eye protection. Ammo I carry separately. Plus I use a hand cart to move everything. My stuff get heavier each year I get a bit older.

A Ford Ranger pickup truck unless I'm riding with my buddy....then we use his SUV. ;)

The firearms, be it handguns or long guns, take up the least amount of space. I typically use soft sided cases for my firearms, although I have a number of hard cases for both types.

I have a pair of these and a pair of the smaller ones. Competition Range Bag If you are not in a real big hurry they usually throw these on sale for almost 1/2 price every now and then. It is very easy to load them to where they are almost too heavy to carry and then I use a fold up hand cart. It is quite easy to put 4 pistols and ammo plus targets and extra magazines in them.

Bought a large tool bag at lowes. Holds all the pistols or revolvers, muffs, stapler, targets and ammo. Think it cost me about $20 beats humping around the hard handgun cases around. Frank
