Sigh...

Well... there is plenty of information in this forum to answer any and all questions regarding returns. :o

ps. If you want your rifle back soon be sure to ask for the return shipping label to be e-mailed to you. Others aren't having great luck with S&W sending it snail mail.

Sorry to hear you had issues, I hope S&W does a quick turn for you. Just as a data point, what ammo were you using? TIA.

Mine was a DTX2XXX it went back monday 3/1/10 and is on its way back already according to the tracking number should have it back 3/9. Called early Wed morning to report the failures and had the return label the next day. I live in Ky so im not to far from the factory.

Sorry to hear that. Im going out tomorrow (finally) with my DTX1xxx. I will be shooting some Winchester 555 bulk and Federal Champion 525 bulk. Hopefully I will have some good news.

RazorColse, youu should try some CCI's and see if it that works, also did you happen to load the ammo one by one in to the mags so the bullet is staggered? sorry to hear that you have problems and hope S&W will get it back to you ASAP.

loaded very carefully, staggered for sure. I am going to give CCIs a try before I send her back.

Between an insane work load and now a nasty cold, I've still not had an opportunity to shoot my DTX4** 15-22. It's a newer 811033 (threaded barrel) with a "25 Round" stamped mag, but does not have the updated springs.

When I finally do get this thing out to range, I will do so pretty much expecting some kind of failure. That way if it runs well it will be a pleasant surprise. If it does fail to perform I won't be heartbroken... I'll simply send it off while taking comfort in the knowledge that it will come back to me a better firearm... Either way, what bliss :-)
