So I bought a 4006 recently. I've been shooting 10MM and have a buttload of brass for that but nothing for the new .40.
Casting around the webs I found a place called Ventura Munitions. They had bulk, once fired reloaded 180gr .40 for what I thought was pretty doggone cheap. $250 for a thousand + shipping.
I did some math and realized that I could maybe load new Starline + bulk bullets for just a little less but that would take a while with a single stage press.
Figured my time was worth the difference + now I have 1000 rounds of brass once I empty them.
Ordered on Saturday and when I got home today there was a box on the front stoop. The shells are clean, look to be in great shape, the crimp and primer seem to be all according to Hoyle. Brass is a varied lot of name brand (mostly) stuff. Loose boxes of 50.
Now off to the range and see how they shoot.
