Clearing out my Mom's things last week I came on this in the same box with memorabilia from the Aleutians in WWII and Japan and Korea later. This Wasp was my original. Needs a good cleaning and some ring caps. I was hooked.

Actually, a pot metal snubbie that took roll caps and loaded by flipping up the side of the cylinder was first by several years, but is long gone. This was more a High School noise maker than a toy.

I remember having a Wasp gun that took little cup shaped plastic caps. I think I still have some of the caps in the basement, but I have no idea where they are.

My Wasp is long gone, but I do have several cap guns that take rolls.

60ish years back, this was my EDC, a Nichols Cowpuncher. Somewhere around here there are numerous old B&W photos of me with this cap pistol. It disappeared just as most childhood treasures do, until my mom found it a few years ago, buried in leaf litter under some trees beside the yard of the house where she still lives. It now occupies a place of honor in our sitting room, surrounded by other treasures.
