One of the larger online ammo retailers offers free shipping on what they define to be "Bulk Orders"

In my case, no pun intended, it was $11.99 per 50 round box of 180 gr. FMJ brass cased .40 S&W practice ammo. The "Bulk Order" for free shipping was 20 boxes (1000 rounds). Tax added $15.89 for a total of $259.17 = $0.26 per round

From my perspective, given the current prices and the continued onslaught against online ammo purchases -- now is a good time to stock up on your favorite range ammo.

$13.00/box certainly sounds good.

However the Devil is in the details. New/Reloaded, brand, bullet weight, condition etc..

Buying new Federal American Eagle is quite different than getting Wolf steel case.

My favorite range ammo as it functions perfectly in my P226, is one of the less "zippy" rounds on the market, and it is NOT hollow point (which can be a pain in some jurisdictions).

Good price on good ammo. I am not a big .40 fan, but my one .40, an FN, really likes that load. Accurate, and dead on to the sights at 25 yards.

Well... The price is certainly good.

Federal American Eagle is without a doubt my favorite in the bulk category.

Remington has a recall on 40 S&W ammo. might want to check the Remington web site.

I took advantage of PSA sale on blazer 9mm, 1K for $193.00 shipped with tax.

I really wanted to add at least 500 .40S&W but this craziness has put the kibosh on that idea for awhile.
