I have a Smith & Wesson model 539 and am looking for a flap holster. In 4 years of looking I have never found, on Ebay, any flap holster or closed toe holster for a Smith & Wesson model 39. Does anyone know of such a holster? I have always liked Lawrence brand flap holsters. All the holsters for I have seen are open toe and thumb snap. Definitely not an outdoors, trail type holster.

I have a El Paso Saddlery flap holster that WATCHDOG shows, excellent made and you can have it customized to your specifications.

Try a Bianchi M 12.
Thanks everyone for your help. If I cant find a Lawrence, which I don't know if they ever made a full flap holster for a model 39, I will give serious consideration to the El Paso holster. The problem I have with the Bianchi M12, is it is made out of fabric and plastic. While I agree this is a good option it just is not for me. I do leather. Also the flap is anemic. It does not cover the grip. When hunting with a rifle on a sling, they beat and bang against each other, both scaring off the beasts and destroying the grips and damaging the rifle stock. A poor bit of planning went into the flap IMO.

Check out Lobo Gun Leather's web site. Ray lists a full flap holster and his work is always quality. I have one of his full flaps for a 2" J frame that saves a lot of wear and tear on the revolver. 'lobogunleather.com'

One of the things I like about the El Paso holster is that lining comes standard with it, while other makers charge extra for any kind of lining. And some makers charge different prices for different types of lining. Plus, with EPS, you can get several different styles of stamping or carving on them...although that will cost you extra. I have several EPS holsters and belts (no flaps, though), and I think their quality is top notch. I like lined holsters because I do not like snaps coming in contact with the finish on my guns.
