Do any of you guys send flowers to your better half?

I have flowers delivered to my wife at work several times a year, it's surprising how happy it makes her. She says nobody else in the office ever gets flowers from their husbands. There have been a few times when there is no special occasion at all. The first time I did that my wife called me and almost sounded mad like I had done something wrong and was in trouble. I also give my mom some now and then. She once told me that dad never ever gave her flowers. He's pushing daisies now.

If you don't give her flowers you should once in a while, you might be surprised at the results.

I do. And, I have found a great florist shop in St. Pete. They always take very good care of me and several friends now use the same florist because of the quality of their arrangements.

It makes my wife happy and the other women who work with her grouse about their hubbys when her flowers arrive. :D

Yes, I give Missus P&R Fan flowers on a regular basis.
The first time I bought her a dozen roses for no special occasion she was initially touched. A little while later she came up, gave me the Hairy Eyeball and said "OK, what did you do?". Uh, I bought you roses. I think she thought I had committed some horrible sin, and was seeking pardon.
Now I buy them all the time, but I only get one. It serves the same purpose, (If you get my drift) and only costs a buck and a half. I am on a first name basis with the ladies at the flower shop at the big grocery store.
I also have gotten one of those little cards on occasion to go with the flowers. Once I wrote a poem to put on it that she still treasures. It was at a time when we were going through a rough patch. I wrote:
"This rose I bought, in fervent hope, to cheer you just a bit.
Cause I just really don't know why, we're going through this (Stuff).":D
She liked that one.
There is a beautiful rose right now on the counter. She deserves it, after all, she puts up with me.;)

FLOWERS TO THE WIFE

I gave my wife whom I have been married to for 41 years flowers one time. Three years ago she had a serious operation and she was really sick. I bought some and took them to the hospital, when I went in to see her. She really enjoyed them. If I routinely bought them for her, she would think that I was running around! We really don't want to spoil them do we?

My wife does like cut flowers, but she's also very cheap! So she is perfectly happy with flowers from the grocery store. Sometimes she'll even pick some up herself and with a smile say that I bought her some flowers today.

What's even better is in another couple of months, the oxeye daisies will be blooming in the roadside ditches and I'll stop and pick her a bunch. The road to the gun club is just loaded with them! :D Later on in the summer I can mix black eyed susans in with the daisies. Keeps her happy!

A lawyer I worked with for several years was well known for being really, really cheap.

He was proud of the flowers he selected for his honey from the cemetery on his way home after work.

Yes, sir. Ladies as a rule love flowers, especially when they're unexpected. It's a delightful thing to bring delight to your special woman. What pleases mine so much is her realization that I was thinking about her when we were apart -little gifts tell her the same thing.

The Men Are From Mars Women Are From Venus book says that women like to be given cut flowers because they die and then the men get to do it all over again

I did once with my ex wife. We had been dateing and for some reason that I cant recall I broke up. Then I figured I had made a mistake. I took her flowers and she told me I was going to be a daddy!

I think it's just more of anything out of the blue, for no reason, whether it be cut flowers or not--like you said, something to say "I'm thinking about you." I'm not particularly fond of cut flowers, myself. They make me sneeze, then they die and leave a mess.

I give my wife cut flowers fairly frequently.
I get them at WallyWorld or one of the big grocery stores.
I usually get a couple of bouquets of different flowers in different color combos.
She LOVES getting them and does a really nice job arranging them.
Best $10 investment that I can think of....

I send them to her several times a year. I just sent some on Friday for our anniversary which is actually on Monday the second. She works from home so I have them sent there nowadays. I am working in Bosnia so FTD works for me. we also like to keep flowers around the house occasionally. we like Alstromeria from Kroger, lots of different colors. cheap and they last a long time.
