SOLD on 'nuther site
FN Europe released some LE trade-ins. I bought a pair, and entrusted them to Jim, a vendor referred to me by Ted Yost.

I had him spec, check, and basically set-up both the same way, so that I could really compare them A/B. I am keeping one with an SFS system. This one has a C&S 'no-bite' short-rowel hammer, and extended RH-safety lever. He also massaged the trigger....but....left the mag-disconnect intact. There's just a hair's-breadth of creep, and about a 6lb break to my experienced finger. Dovetails were cut, and MkIII fixed-sights were installed to replace the horrible little OEM nubbins. The breech-face was cleaned-up a bit, and a BHSS recoil-spring guide-rod buffer system installed. It makes a great difference in felt recoil and recovery time over stock. Plus, it should go a long way toward preserving the frame. The slide seems to be epoxy-coated, or painted in some manner, and no rust was found anywhere. It's not any sort of looker, and is simply all-business.
Suffice to say, the 'no-bite' hammer still bites my hand a bit, albeit not anywhere uncomfortably as with stock. Ymmv, but it could be easily rectified with a little de-horning if need be. I just prefer the uniqueness of the SFS. It has one blue, Mec-Gar branded mag, S/N'd to the gun, and one matte mil-spec unmarked of some sort, both 13rd. IF you'd prefer, I can replace the altered Hogue's with OEM plastic panels, but they've had a little trimming under the safety levers to allow the SFS room to work.
I'd like $1400 net to me, shipped to your FFL. It's best to EMAIL me, as I'm not on the board daily. Close up the gaps six 4 sure AT gmail DOT com
