Food Dropped on the Floor?

How do you handle food dropped on the floor?
Say you are making a sandwich, and drop a piece bread, meat, or lettuce on the floor.
Pick it up, wipe it off, use it, throw it away, or?
My deceased FIL used to say " Well that landed butter side up, so good to go! "
And yes, was just making a meatloaf sandwich, and the piece of lettuce hit the floor, went on the sandwich!

Like Bronco89 said, I have two dogs that would make that disappear. But if the vittles survived the initial drop, I would have no problem eating it lol After blessing it of course.

My BIL came from a family of 11 kids, he said if someone dropped some food, someone else had it before it hit the floor.

Brush it off and eat it.

Had it happen this morning, it was Donut day for dad’s at school. My son grabbed two donuts I grab two of the same donut. On the way to the table his fell on the cafeteria floor I picked his up put it back on a plate told him he can eat mine and I would eat his.

If the dogs don't snatch it up, I throw it away. Floors are NOT clean.

My wife used to eat stuff dropped on the floor. I asked her if she would mind if I cleaned the dishes with the floor mop. I think that cured her of it.

Mine would have. Had a keeshond that loved green beans the kids would drop, and a Bichon that ate dropped raw broccoli more than once. Gave him gas though.
