Are C&R licensee's able to receive C&R handguns? TIA

I had a C&R in Massachusetts for many years before escaping to New Hampshire. Yes, you can receive any C&R firearm via either a FTF private sale or direct shipment from an out-of-state seller, but I think there would be an issue if the seller is an in-state Mass 01 FFL. The Massachusetts law that prevents certain handguns from being sold in the state applies to in-state dealers (not individuals), and I don't believe there is an exception for C&R handguns - the issue never came up with my own C&R purchases. Mass law does require that all guns, whether acquired from a dealer or private sale, and regardless of C&R status, be "registered" with the state using the FA-10 form (paper version when I was there, since changed to be on-line) within a week or so after purchase.

No problem directly receiving a C&R handgun from out of state. I have had many sent to me at my house.
