For my fellow .22 Jet fans out there.. brass!

Thanks to Gunhacker I now have some brass to reload with. Found two boxes of NOS Remington but have been frugal on shooting it. I've also got the .222 Hornadys so I'm ready to start reloading.

Would like some guidance from the experienced Jet relaoders out there as to what has been working well for them. I do have the Hornady manual but am looking for real world experience on a 53 as opposed to a TC.

my everyday playing load is 6.5 of hs-6 with a 40gr. bullet. is easy on the gun and your ears, plenty accurate. you can use a mag sm. pistol primer or std. sm rifle primer. will just have to try and see which primer shoots best. my favorite bullet is the sierra .223 dia hornet bullet. this load runs around 1600 in a 6in gun. for factory type loads, 2400 is hard to beat. make sure the chambers in the cylinder have been cleaned with alcohol or lighter fluid and absolutely no case lube on the brass when shooting hotter loads. otherwise you will have set-back and have to pound the empties out of the cylinder. for other powders for hotter loads, some use 296/h-110, 4227, have heard of one fellow using blue dot and having good luck with it although, i did not.
