I hope someone will make a good TV documentary about the incredible final season (if in fact it is) of David "Big Papi" Ortiz.

The man is having huge fun in this last go-around, and at forty is posting amazing numbers.

I heard a story last night about the great Vin Scully, who has broadcast Dodgers games for sixty-seven years and is calling it quits, asking Papi, "Why are you retiring, at the top of your game?" Ortiz answered, "Why are you?"

Engaging character and one hell of a ballplayer--hitter, anyway--whose final season has been a joy to watch.

I hope someone will do it and Ortiz justice in a one-hour documentary.

I wish, Sal. I was shocked and steamed when they went west, and damn near cried when that old ball park was torn down. They were selling bricks from it as souvenirs, but I didn't have the money.

I didn't like the Giants leaving either, but I was a pretty damn devout Brooklyn fan.

And do NOT tell me the new "Yankee Stadium" is the real thing.

I am so old...:o

At least Ortiz didnt end up with the Yankees (yet) like Babe Ruth, Roger Clemens, Johnny Damon and Jacoby Ellsbury.
