I've had this Arvo Ojala rig since the late nineties.
It just doesn't fit with my plans as I realign my collection of stuff.
Arvo Ojala was of course the premier gunfighting coach of Hollywood for decades and made a good show of holding back when he was defeated week after week on Gunsmoke.
This is a typical Hollywood style rig but not a real fancy one.
The holster and belt are in pretty good shape.
The full length picture shows a ruler mark at 48 inches for a sense of size.
It never fit me so I have no real reference other than that.
You can see the maker marks in the photos.
It is made for a .44/.45 SAA style revolver with up to a 5.5 inch barrel. There is a Vaquero 4.63" for reference in the picture.
(Pistol not included.)
The outside of the rig is smooth black finish with no tooling.
The inside is natural or oil finish.
You can see in the picture that the stitching of the loops has come apart. The leather is still okay and the stitch holes are not torn out. I do not have the necessary tools, materials and know how to fix it, but it seems a simple fix for the right craftsman.
The belt does not seem to have a size marked.
The belt also has initials stamped inside of the belt: W.F.F.
Is that someone from Hollywood? Who knows.
I am located in Henderson NV and will entertain reductions for locals.
