Hello Forum Members,
I am interested in selling my Smith & Wesson Model 52-A (52A) Pistol. This pistol has been in my collection for over 10 years and is one of two that I own. The Model 52-A was produced for the U.S. Army Marksman Training Unit and a total of only 87 pistols were produced and they were made in 1961. Ths pistol was almost identical to the Model 39 except was chambered for the .38 AMU cartridge. The .38 American Marksman Unit cartridge was a semi-rimless .38 Special cartridge.
The pistol is as close to mint condition as you can get for being almost 50 years old and it includes the original box. The serial number of the gun is 35886. For more information on the Model 52-A, reference the book by Roy G. Jinks - 125 Years of Smith & Wesson - pages 243 to 245. My asking price is $ 6,500.00 or the best offer I receive. It is a very rare pistol and would definitely be great addition to anyones collection. Anybody interested or have any questions at all please feel free to email me. Thank you.
