Someone asked me awhile back if this older Western TV series was available on DvD? I said yuuuup--but was only on what some dvd mills consider--public domain--therefore--low quality at best.

Well, wait no more--the entire series is available by Warner Bros studios as a Made on demand title--therefore--high quality.

BTW--just like: The Rifleman--this series is NOT--a public domain series.

Well Ringo it looks like I finally get to sit across the table from you on something. I never thought it would be on a western or war movie/tv show. But (and please forgive me) I could never go that show. He was a bit too much of a "twinkie" for me. Looked like he was about 14 or 15 and lookin' forward to his first shave. I doubt he had many bad guys trembling in fear. :rolleyes:I did appreciate the name of the character though. It just seemed to fit. I always wanted to tousle his hair, chuck his cheek, and call him Opie. "He sure had a purdy *****." But that's a whole different movie.....:D

Heh heh, thats the way I felt about the character and show too.Imight just get it just because its another Western to watch. However, I can always clean my palate by watching Have Gun Will Travel or Gunsmoke. This reminds me,I have the entire The Texan series an still havent seen Rory Calhoun yet.:)

I think that WB.com is having a sale on Gunsmoke? I was looking a bit yesterday when my tablet died from no power. They do have a War and Western movie sale going on right now.

I have admit this is one that I had almost forgot.
When I looked it up, then I remembered that it's one that I never liked that much!
That could explain my selective memory!
Thanks for posting!

I dont remember it at all except for one or two episodes of it I saw numerous years ago. These were some on one of those--one hundred Westerns episodes thing--on a dvd.I think ill save my money from this and grab season three Maverick--or maybe season two of Cheyenne?? I wonder why Wyatt Earp hasnt been released yet? I remember those were pretty good.
