I couldnt think of a better way to get one to peek in here but, I needed to see what you guys think of this.

OK,yeah,I know just a movie and one I havent seen for at least 40++ years. The movie: Retreat Hell/ Frank Lovejoy, Russ Tamblyn and I forgot whom else? Anyway,if I recall corretly? I think this movie was about the 1st Division who put a stranglehold on overwhelming chinese forces while they (the Marines) were surrounded (Chosin Resevoir). :D Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here remembered that movie and how accurate it was? Like I said, last time I saw this movie--I was probably 4-5 at the time.

I just ordered it,as well as Pillars of the Sky (the Lee Marvin connection) and The Password is Courage and finally, Johnny Tremain.

This is also a heads up for those who regularly call on me for opinions for new movies to get and such.

Well--what little I remember of Retreat Hell--I remember it being an outstanding war movie.

Pillars of the Sky has Jeff Chandler, Lee Marvin and I think--Ward Bond--as US Cav Sergeants who--while leading a troop--somehow get themselves surrounded and cut off-by Snubbys relatives (no offense Snubby) :D

Johnny Tremain--is an older Disney movie stars Jeff York. Its an excellent movie portraying how we felt about the British at the beginning and early stages of the Revolutionary War--great Boston Tea Party scenes--among many). Yeah--I know--can be hokey-but I thought was a pretty darn good movie.

The Password is Courage w/ Dirk Bogarde. I had long wanted this movie on DvD--last seeing it entirely when Ronald Reagan was about to be elected his 2nd term in office--. This movie follows Dirk Bogarde--who portrayed real life--Sergeant Major Coward--who--escaped a German PW camp near end of WWII. This is an excellent PW escape movie mixed with some comedy.

Im not sure which studios released these versions--but I THINK--all were released by Olive Films--whih is a great studio to buy from and will be the highest quality you can get for your money short of buying the master reels for these movies.
