I watched a few on Hulu after it had been on a few seasons. My wife doesn't like that kinda scary stuff. Says it's bad enough when I'm in the room and she flips the lights off. I took it as a compliment.

So they have this virus, or get it worse when bitten, then they show the walkers eating whole cows and grabbing soon to not be living folks, it appears they consume the entire meal.

So after being eaten how do they show up in the next scene fully fleshed out? Or is that something I'm not supposed to notice?

Gotta go, wife just said, lights out.

Hi:
The episodes where the group is living in a prison, Rick's wife is pregnant and is "Bitten". After the baby is delivered via "C" section, Rick's son shoots the wife to keep her from "Turning". Later where the wife is shot, the wife's body is "Gone" and there is a large bloody spot where the body was. In the same room is a "Bitter" with a large blotted abdomen to show that he ate the wife's entire body.

I can't remember specifically seeing an character get eaten, or mauled, and come back. They either died from a bite or are killed before they turn. Animals are not effected.

Those that come back are typically the ones that got away from being eaten or were not eaten for some reason. Distracted zombie!?!?! Zombie with ADHD!!!! :)

Depends on the brain.........remaining intact.......

weren't there some "living" heads in bottles in the Governors episodes?????

some folks get bitten and then kill the Z or run away.......

several crawling as their legs are gone........

I don't remember ever noticing that, but I typically don't pay close enough attention to detail to be critical of such things. I'm not the guy who counts shots from a 6-shot revolver and starts screaming at the TV when #7 goes bang. :D

If you get bit by a walker, you can survive for a while unless the hoard descends on you and eats you. Many times, they move on before enough of you is gone to keep you from walking around with the hoard once you actually die and turn. Those bitten just once usually hang around for a couple days before dying of the virus, which manifests itself with high fever and massive sweating. Once you die, either from the bite or from natural causes, you "turn" to a walker, sometimes very quicky and sometimes after several hours, unless your initial death was from a head injury, in which case, you're worm food and you never turn. That's why characters are seen agonizing over when and if to brain pummel a soon to die loved one.

If you turn, the only way to keep you from biting others is to suffer a massive brain injury. Lots of walkers are seen with missing limbs, missing abdomens, exposed body cavities, etc.

.....unless they can amputate the bitten part ASAP

Yeah, you'll need to check your brain at the door if you want to be entertained.

I always wonder how it's possible that they're not all deaf. Shooting a .357 Python, 12 gauge shotgun, and other handguns inside closed spaces (like a prison block) would relegate all the dialog to, "WHAT? DID YOU SAY SOMETHING?"

Don't forget that at some point, the show's creators want to have the survivors from TWD and FtWD hook up in the show at some point.

Imagine the rather cool episodes there could be if they, say, met in the middle of the US, or one team went from EC to WC or vice versa.

I've not missed an episode of either show. I watch it in part because of the firearms, in part for the escapism the show provides. My wife sits on the couch with me and we make a date of it -- popcorn, drinks of choice. Ditto Z Nation, River Monsters, The Last Ship. I married up and well. :)

I bet there's guys here so deaf it's probably louder in their livingroom watching it on TV :D

In the distant pass a young LEO fired a 12 gauge Winchester Model 12 Riot Gun in a metal tunnel at a armed fleeing felon. This Officer (call him Jimmy) learned a valuable lesson that day. "WHAT DID YOU SAY, SGT?"

I think they ment it to be 2 completely different shows. But as things go right now if the two groups met up Rick's group would probably go all Negan on the WC group! [emoji48]

Can't pull your weight? Too much drama? Instant volunteer as a zombie distraction!!!! Or simply one to the back of the head!

Rick's group would probably go all Negan on the WC group!

I'm wondering about what Rick and the rest will turn out like if/when they escape Negan and his bunch. People tend to gravitate to strong men, so if Rick or Daryl (if he lives) could usurp Negan, Negan's own people will follow Rick. Negan's sidekick, the one that continually trapped Rick and crew at every junction before being captured seems to be the only possible problem.

Rick has seen it all, is fooled by nothing, and would make a better, far less cruel leader than Negan. Rick needs tactical guidance, though, and this is where Abraham could come in handy. I'm still in disbelief about Daryl letting himself be captured. Redneck Jedi? Hrmmmph!

You see a lot of transformations in the characters. Rick was a soft cop. I don't mean that in a bad way. He was generally a good human being who was a cop. He probably let a lot of people go with warnings where other cops would have issued tickets. Even after becoming accustomed to this new reality he gave away weapons to people in need and rescued people as well dispite it putting a burden on his group and his family. He tried to raise his new family as a farming community inside the walls of a prison. With each road block and subsequent fall he became harder, less trusting in outsiders, faster to judge and faster on the trigger with less and less remorse. He ripped a man's throat out with his teeth! Later, when captured and put in the railway car he said "they'll be sorry when they find out they're messing with the wrong people!" Kinda goes to his state of mind. In Alexandria he had no problems killing the doctor and was after his wife before the doc even died!

Meanwhile Daryl may have been a good guy born into a bad life but has had this tough guy wall up so long it become to define him. He never had real friends or a real family. I don't 5hink he even considered his brother to be close. I think he cried for his brother cause he felt bad for him and because it was a reminder that his normal life was gone forever. Dropping his mental wall eventually made him soft. He loosened up, became comfortable with the people around him and even new people in the group. If the episode where the lady doc gets an arrow in the head had happened 3 season ago it would never had happened. He probably would have went ahead by himself and scouted while staying in the treeline. Instead he was walking and babbling on a hill on the railroad tracks!

Somewhere those two men crossed personalities. Where they synch'd is where they should have stayed. That would have made for great leadership
