For those of you with blown out extractors on your M&P 15-22... I have a question.

S&w 15/22 MP missing extractor

Anyone know how I can get my extractor replaced? It's very frustrating and such an inconvenience not having the casings eject properly. used federal ammo. Spent 480$ on the rifle for it not to work correctly is upsetting. Need to find out how much for replacement. And / or how long it will take if I send it to S&W? Do I pay for shipping? NEED HELP. any suggestions?

Is it just the extractor you need or do you need the spring and plunger too? If just the extractor then buy a Volquartsen Exact Edge extractor if you need the spring and plunger as well then you will probably have to go to S&W.

I am from the Philippines and i just had the same problem with my mp15-22 rifle. So how do I get my rifle fixed when there are no available extractors here?

Smith and Wesson should ship the parts needed to their supplier here in the Philippines, otherwise this is poor after sales service

If you are only after the extractor and still have your plunger and spring, then get your gunshop to order you a Volquartsen 15-22 extractor. Excellent part!
If you also lost your plunger and spring then check Numrich gun parts, i think they deliver internationally but you'd have to check. Your local gunshop should be able to get them for you. If Numrich ever get stock back in!

Have you contacted S&W ? What did they say ? Are they going to pay for you to ship it back ?
Very interested in hearing more about this, please keep us posted

Extractor on my 15-22 blew out with less than 1000 rounds of Norma Tac22. Didn't want to hassle with sending it back to S&W so just bought the Volquartsen extractor and it's been running flawlessly since with everything - Norma, CCI, Aguila, Remington.

If you can find another person with a 15-22, see if he'll let you borrow the extractor to make a template. I've seen tons of gun and automobile parts custom made by Filipinos. That should be one of the easier parts to make.

Here you go. Official distributors of Volquartsen: Manila Gun Store, Repairs, Gunsmithing – Jethro Shooting Range

Hi Just a quick question on 22 ammo (if there is such a thing), I do suscribe to ammo quality and effects but just what is different with 22 ammo that's marketed for the AR platforms? Is it just a marketing ploy or real technical differences?

Mostly marketing.

CCI's AR tactical looks like the copper washed standard velocity pills moving at 1200 FPS. It was originally packaged in 300 bulk packs. (without the trays)

It seems to group better than CCI's 40grn Mini Mags in the majority of my rifles. It's also a little less expensive due to the packaging. (compared to mini mags)

Hello in 2020

I just bought this rifle about a month ago and ran about 1500 rounds through it. Winchester Super X fired OOB while I was at the range one day and blew my extractor out. I decided to order a new extractor, spring and plunger from a third party rather than sending it into smith.
