It's not like you bought a Taurus or something!

I have a Ruger SBH in .44 mag. I like it very much. I am sure you will love this new gun. Single action revolvers are a hoot to shoot, and I am betting that you find it to be a very accurate gun. We will need a range report!

Best of luck with it.

I just looked up the serial number on the Ruger web site. Looks like it was made in 1977.

Let's see, now I need dies, bullets, brass.... What else?

S'ok just drag it behind the truck for a few feet and your Smith's will forgive you.

Seriously though I am hot for one of the new 44spl Flattops to the point I briefly considered paying the scalpers price on one...only briefly

...what else???

....at least one more of the same thing, a pistol-caliber carbine, and a SxS coach gun plus yer cowboy hat & now you kin go cowboy action shooting!!!!

...and then he would truely be having a good time.

Sir, it's not a sin if it's not a gun that Smith makes. For example, a single-action .45 Colt is not a sin, but a double-action .357 is.

Of course, certain sins are worth committing anyway, such as a Python.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

Your Blackhawk must have been made right at the cutoff when Ruger started putting the "warning" on all their barrels. If I remember correctly, that was in 1977.

..primers, powder, some time to put them all together and let her ROAR!!!

Nah, I've already got the primers and powder. I even have a box of brass that a friend gave to me. I was lucky enough to find a box of 250gr. RNFP cowboy loads at a dealer yesterday. So...I can try it out while waiting for reloading components!

You simply performed a good deed! Face it, someone else would have bought it and probably wouldn't had the fortitude to handle the calling. You simply stepped up and helped your fellow man. Ominus Dominus all is forgiven.

Tis not a sin! Got a bunch of Ruger SAs and still feel rather good about myself! Last purchase was the Lipseys .44 special! A plus is when I want to make the big booms with the .44 mag, I use my Super Blackhawk and save wear and tear on my 29 and 629! Dump 8.0 grains of Unique with a standard primer under a 255 LSWC and have fun!

Yea, me too. They sure do seem like the perfect S/A for the 44 lover. What barrel length are you looking at. I want the short one
