Found a 36 and 66 2 1/2in at Gun Show

Found a 36 dash ? in very good shape and a 66 dash ? round butt 2 1/2 inch barrel in good condition. They had nylon ties on them so didn't really play with them. Was sorta looking for a 4in 66 but now feel like I should have brought one of these home. I think the 36 may have been a good price. Vendor offered $350 out the door for the 36. no price tag on it. The 66 was offered at $500 otd, had a $550 tag on it. May have been able to drop them a little more but did no haggling since they were not what I was looking for today. How bad did I screw up?

If neither was on your short list, then no screw up whatsoever. 750-800 cash might have brought them both home, but they aren't especially scarce or rare. Great pistols though, so you simply missed an oppty to add to the collection.

I don't know a S&W owner yet that regrest buying any Chiefs Special or Combat Magnum model.
