Got lucky today, a friend called and told me his neighbor had a 625-3 she wanted to sell and would I be interested, of course I was. I went and looked at it with some apprehension. I opened it was immaculate. Model of 1989 5". I asked how much, he said she wanted $650 for it, I was happy with the price and aggred to buy it. He said hang on a minute, he came back with a tray loaded moon clips (15) and 3 boxes of Winchester 230gr FMJ. I think I did pretty good on this one, cant wait to get to the range next week and shoot it some.

Had a 625-8 PC, I let it get away last year. I wanted a 5" when I bought so no love really lost. I really like the 5". I think this one is gonna be around for a while.

You did just fine with that 5" 629-3, Joe. How come I don't have neighbors like that? I have a 25-2 and 1917 and I use 2-rd, 3-rd, and 6-rd moonclips. Both are fun and accurate shooters. Enjoy!

Yes, I run into some pretty good deals. After almost 42 years in Law Enforcement I've met a wide variety of people, that's where I get a lot of stuff. I think I'm really going to enjoy this on.

NICE! I had to pay substantially more for my 5" -3. No regrets though, I love it as I'm sure you'll love yours. Enjoy shooting it, they're fun!
