Not a full size one, unfortunately. Was at Walmart perusing the bargain racks of bakery goods they keep back by the milk section and when I pulled out a package of banana nut muffins this little guy was on top. Right about the right height for some kid in a shopping cart to place it there. So I brought it home and will stick it up on one of my knick knack shelves.😆

I worked with a guy who was determined to own a Ferrari by his next birthday. (Riiiiiiight!) Before he got to the office one day, the HR lady reminded us it was his birthday. He was the last to arrive-we were buried below ground-and we waited a bit for him to say something. After awhile, someone asked if he had his Ferrari? "Yep!" After a pause to let the shock sink in, he asked if we wanted to see it. Another pause while we were still trying to cope. Then he brought out a Matchbox Ferrari.

Look at the bright side, you will never get a speeding ticket in it!:D

Yup, and still makes me grin when I turn at my computer desk and see it on the book shelf next to me.:D

Reminds me of a story. For Christmas one year I gave my brother a little Lego kit that made a robot with a sword, about 5 inches high. Just one of those silly things you give people. No thought that it could be important. One day in April I get a call from my brother. I didn't have my phone with me so he left a message. I don't remember the message word for word, but basically what he said was this.

"I'm just calling you to tell you I had one of the worst days of my professional career. Nothing went right and I got my butt chewed all day long. Finally the day from Hell was over and I got in my truck and was just sitting there, hating life.
The I saw this stupid little Lego robot and suddenly I was laughing my *** off. The absurdity of a plastic robot with a little sword was hilarious to me. I must have laughed for 5 minutes. And suddenly, everything was OK again. I just wanted to call and say thank you. That little guy made a big impact on me."

After he passed, I found the little guy in his things. I still have it and occasionally look at it and remember. And if I'm feeling like nothing is going right, I can look at him and laugh and realize it's all gonna be OK.

Never owned a GT 350 or 500 But back in the day you could rent one from Hertz rent a car...on the weekends you would see one or two at the drag strip on weekends. As far as the T Bird... I was visiting my wholesale gun distributor back in 1985..stopped to get gas...and there it was...a 1957 Bird...for sale took it for a drive...ran fine...needed a little body touch up...bought the darn thing and ...my wife was with me...she drove it home..That briht red with the hardtop. Big mistake...HER car

This is exactly why I am keeping so many pieces from Mom's Depression glass and Fenton art glass collection as well as things of Dad's we kept. They will be spread out all over the house when I get it set up to be mine now instead of theirs. Each time I see those pieces I will remember them both.

Here are some that are temporarily set up here until I get everything ready for them.

I'd love to see a pic of it.

I got a Duesenberg out in the garage, nice model with some detail sitting in a shelf. Wish I had a Delage. The engines had over 80 ball and roller bearings and no cylinder head. It was cast with the block so no head gasket to fail. To do a valve job you had to pull the crankshaft out and go in from the bottom.
